閃靈 - 玉碎
Good morning everyone! (Well it's noon actually, but it's early to me. I'm a sloth.)(Seriously.)
Wow is this the first time I post a Chinese song?:D And now I can already expect that no one will reply to this article because the song is not wildly-accepted...Just kidding.XD
I heard of this song a couple of days ago from a lesson held by a man who listen to variable music genres. The song is rather metal yet it is combined with chinese 2-string fiddle (二胡), which adds a sense of desolation. Before this song, I was afraid of this kind of music. But I tried to listen to it without prejudices and stereotypes, and then I was amazed at the rich and splendid levels. There're deep meanings behind those scary makeups and shouts.
P.S. To whom assigned to reply to this article, if you do not enjoy the song at all or worse, suffer great pain from it, I am sorry...:I You can just let me know. X)
Here are some notes to help you better understand the song: 銃子 means "bullet", and the Japanese words are "blades"(from engines, I guess.).
Last but not least, if you feel something after reading and listening and you want to have further information, you can check out this video. But I sincerely recommend watching the video after you pondering by yourself. Sometimes we figure out something from art works that the original creator didn't mean, but that is unnecessarily to be positive.

Prodigal
I've been an odd kid ever since I had memory. Being pensive and emotional, I always trying to get away from home and desperately looking for a place where I belong. Even after so long, I still can’t explain that state of mind clearly. Maybe it’s the so called rebellious phase? (Wow that’s such a long lasting period…it seems eternal right now. :P)
Good Charlotte - The River
This song is performed by one of my favorite bands! :) It depicts vividly a prodigal's struggle.
John Rzeznik - I'm Still here
This one is a soundtrack from one of my favorite movies, Treasure Planet. It's about a self-discovery adventure of a boy, who is given up by almost everyone including himself. I shed tears several times during watching it. (Seriously, it is awesome! I'm not very good at introducing movies, so if you are interested in it, just check it on websites. Of course, the best way to know it is to watch it directly. XD)
The two songs above have something to do with my topic today. They're both meaningful and touching to me. Hope you can enjoy them as I do. :)
Also, when it comes to the topic, I think this song may be classic to lots of people. :)

Taste differences
Today I'm going to talk about something that are rather serious than before. :P
Recently I hang out with seniors from rock n roll club a lot and I find one thing extremely odd (or is it just me?).
The world is colorful and has variety because of different people who live in it. I don't think we should be judged by our favor to music. If you are a fan of Japanese food, and I happen to be crazy about Mexican food, does that mean one of us is inferior to the other? I think the answer is negative. So in my opinion, looking down on music genres which one doesn’t prefer only shows the person is not open-minded enough. And that is not only helpless for one to appreciate music but not a quality of being a better person. Don't be arrogant and be more humble; you may find something fascinating in those which you have not known yet. :)
The reason why one falls into a song is sometimes complicated and unexplainable. Take this song for instance: Avenged Sevenfold - Dear God. Recently, I've been listening to it over and over again. It reminds me of my mom every time I play this. Some may regard the song as nothing for it lacks splendid skills, but they don't understand what it means to me. Therefore, I don't think it's wise to criticize something before you fully comprehend it.
There was a period of time in which I felt embarrassed by those "shallow" songs I enjoy, but last night (20121114) I suddenly realize that the origin purpose we listen to music is for our own pleasure, whether it's that songs tell hilarious stories, make you smile and cry, or strike a chord. There is no need to twist your nature to be "cool" or "high class". Who set the standard of "awesome" is not that important when comparing with yours.

Cheers! ^_^

Love songs
Love, it has been a popular theme of songs. Despite the fact that it may be viewed as a cliche, there are some reasons for its popularity. Thousands of years people try to figure out what love is and seize it. They (We) put efforts to cherish, analyze and investigate happiness that love brings. But no one can claim he/she knows exactly what love is. It apears to be interesting to me. :)
Today I'd like to share some songs related to the topic "love" with you. :) Don't get me wrong, there're plenty types of love exist on earth, who says that we can talk about "relationships between men and women" only? :p A good song can be listened again and again, and when you gain more wisdom and experiences as time goes by, you will discover something moving or new from the song. (From a lot of aspects, including the lyrics and melodies)
Good Charlotte - We Believe
Simple Plan - Save You
These two songs play major roles at the beginning of my "rock life". They're passionate and affectionate, hope you like it. :) The second one is dedicated to the lead singer Pierre Bouvier's brother. I personally find both of them beautiful and touching. :)

A New Member in My Life
Hey guys! A momentous event just happened to me and I can't help sharing my cheerfulness with you! :)
Yesterday I went to 阿通伯 musical instruments store with a senior from the school club, rock n roll club. By the way, he is a junior majoring in money and banking. :) (He is such a nice person that I have to mention. XD) At the store, I bought my very first bass! Although it took a lot of work to carry my bass and amplifier home (I think I grew some muscles because they were so heavy. XD), I was still delighted to endure the pain. I was too excited to study and write my homework last night! This is the first time that I'm so infatuated with one single thing; merely staring at it and plucking its chords softly brings me a tremendous sense of peace and satisfaction. Oh! I think I'm in love. >///<
This is a milestone in my music enthusiasm history, so I'd like to talk about a person who inspired me and ignited my passion for bass. He's name is Luca Donazzan♥, an Italian and he is probably my favorite bass player in the world. Here's a song which his band performs, hope you may enjoy the melody and video as I do. :)

The song is actually the first one I heard from them. :) The band had already broken up(Q_Q), but their music works still touch my hear. Maybe I'll post something about the band next time for I like Luca much!

Astronaut
Since this is the first article, I' d like to set up some rules of my own. The first thing is, yes, as you may see, I will keep the size of words THIS big from now on! It' s better for eyes, trust me. Oh and the other rules? Mmm...I'll tell you later when I come up with one. :p
The dorm which I reside in is located at the top of the mountain. After a day of school, I climbed up the mountain on foot. Chilly night wind swept beads of dew from leaves and grass, and flew through my hair. The touch of fresh air is tender and delicate, creating a serene atmosphere.
It suddenly occurs to me that everyone is alone in this world. The feeling comes especially sharp and clear when no one is around me.
Simple Plan - Astronaut
Maybe each of us is an astronaut who is eagerly looking forward to being seen, and to be heard. Waiting for someone, something, or some place, which allows us to come down.
Are you out there?
